I swing between make-up off, PJ's on to make an effort to look professional to work from home as a housing officer.
As a wearer of strong glasses, with pretty sparse lashes, my eyes feel like they disappear without mascara.
I've been looking for a new favourite mascara for a while now.
When Brian and Abbie suggested Avon's '5 In One Lash Genius' I thought I'd give it a go.
To start with it has a proper brush a big bugbear of mine
I picked a black/brown...it's a good rich, dark colour and glides on well with great coverage and no splodges. One coat and my lashes stood out already and a second light coat gave me the length and thickness I was looking for, but without any nasty clumps.

I did a little video clip for work yesterday. The first thing I did before recording was sticking a couple of coats of mascara on. It did make me feel more human.
Some handy mascara tips
- Never pump the brush into bottle, this overused technique allows too much air in which they will dry out your formula
- Giving your lashes some prep with a curler will keep your results for longer when topping up with your mascara
- Use an easy zigzag motion to achieve mega volume
- Use the pointed end of your brush to get the hard to reach places like corners of the eyes
- Liner added to the root of your lashes will give a bolder, luscious look
